Lead Designer / Engineering / Software developer

Chris, has 20 years of IT experience with many different languages.

Also has 3d design skills and background in engineering and electronics. Has always wanted to build his own AI robot. He has been building hobby robots for a few years and likes to create and collaborate with other builders in the hobby.

Shawn Miller

Tech Lead / Engineering / Software developer

Florida/USA

Shawn, has over 30 years IT leadership rolls before he retired. He has always been into RC hobbies and recently got into the robotics hobby. His focus is to be part of another open source project like the Inmoov project.

Our Journey So Far

2021

FIRST ROBOT PROTOTYPE IS CREATED

Following extensive research and development, Christopher Calleja, the founder of Robots Builder, successfully crafted the inaugural prototype of his robot. This cutting-edge creation was meticulously designed and brought to life through 3D printing within the confines of his home garage—a project aptly named Aidam creating the 1st bipedal that took a few steps, and could have a conversation with you also identifying objects it recognised.

2022

Collaboration Project

Robots Builder was founded by a group of robotics enthusiasts who shared a common vision to create the most advanced DIY robots in the world. They started in a small garage in Australia and Florida with just two members on each side of the world.

2023

XR1-PROJECT BORN

The inception of the XR-1 robot project marked a pivotal moment for its founders, who collectively recognized the opportune time to embark on a venture that would democratize robotics. Motivated by a vision to empower enthusiasts worldwide, the founders conceptualized a project where individuals could easily assemble their own 3D printed robot capable of autonomous walking. XR-1 aimed not only to facilitate accessibility to robotics but also to usher in a new era of home-built robots, catalyzing innovation and inspiring a community of creators passionate about bringing artificial intelligence and mobility into their living spaces.
